DIY Large Scale Artwork
I surprised one of my really good friend’s, Marco, with an apartment makeover. He moved from Orange County to Los Angeles because he started a new job. When I saw photos of his living room/dining room area, I saw so much potential. It had such a Parisan feel to it and so many gorgeous accents like the molding, fireplace, and large windows.
I had this vision to display 2 large artworks on the wall that you see when you first walk in. The wall was completely blank and needed something. I tend to always opt for a gallery wall but I was inspired by seeing huge artworks all over Pinterest. I purchased 2 large canvases, neutral paint colors and just kinda painted something abstract. I really didn’t know what I was doing haha but I loved how they turned out. I also used wood and created 2 frames around the artwork.
Marco loved his new artwork and was so surprised to learn I had DIY’d the pieces! It is a cost effective DIY that ends up looking upscale. It’s also such a fun activity to do with your friends or family members!
