Marie's Small Bathroom Makeover

If you follow me on Instagram, I’m sure you saw I spent this past week working on a bathroom makeover for my roommate, Marie! When we first toured our current apartment, she was a little hesitant on the bathroom situation. It has a great walk in shower but the style of the bathroom wasn’t really her vibe. It felt a little outdated, especially with the vanity and light fixture. I assured her I had a plan for the space and with a little TLC (and LOTS of paint), I transformed it into the chic bathroom of her dreams!

However, I had a few road bumps along the way, hence the LOTS of paint…

When I first started brainstorming ideas for the bathroom, I had the idea of doing a tonal pink situation. A pink wall with a pink stamp. After I purchased the paint and applied it, the next day I hated it! It seemed extremely girly and Marie and I both agreed pink was not the vibe… so back to the drawing board. I opted for a more neutral color, making the black stamp pop. It paired perfectly with the crisp white board and batten and the light beige I painted the vanity.

When decorating the bathroom, I wanted there to be pops of brass and changed the light fixture, toilet paper holder and added a brass shower curtain rod. Most of the bathroom décor is from Target (I’m obsessed with their new Casaluna line) and Lone Fox. I think my favorite décor element are the Harlan Hooks.

You can watch the full video on how I made over the space HERE, including all the links to shop the décor and products I mention. I honestly think this is one of my favorite bathroom makeovers to date. I’m so happy with how it turned out!!
