A dramatic and beautifully crafted wrought iron tripod pricket candleholder in the medieval Spanish tradition, its tall slender stem rising from an ornate scrollwork base of sweeping curved legs with tight spiral terminals. A mid-section collar and additional scrollwork detail add further visual interest along the shaft, while the wide drip pan at the top is fitted with a traditional pricket spike for a pillar candle. The surface shows a rich, darkened patina accumulated over decades, lending the piece an authentically aged and imposing character.
