A large and striking studio pottery fish tray of superb decorative quality, its wide rectangular form with clipped corners decorated with a bold sgraffito fish design on a deep cobalt blue ground, the fish rendered in white slip with expressive linear detail against a watery, atmospheric field. The tray is raised on four small stoneware feet and the unglazed exterior contrasts beautifully with the vivid blue interior.
