Signed Studio Pottery Tile-Pattern Bowl, France, 1960's

This shallow bowl is hand thrown in stoneware and finished with a striking tile-pattern glaze, each square rendered in varied tones of cream, brown, and blue-gray, divided by raised ridges and dotted accents. The mottled, speckled surface within each square gives it an organic, artisanal quality. Signed on the underside, this piece reflects the studio pottery tradition of mid-century France.
