Rustic Hand-Forged Fireplace Tool Set, France, 1930s

This French fireplace tool set from the 1930s pairs slender hand-forged metal tools with a sculptural angular stand. Tapered handles and a dark, timeworn surface give the poker, shovel, and brush a restrained rustic character. Place the set beside a hearth to add practical detail and a collected finish.
