Figurative Seated Male Nude Red Pencil Sketch, France, 1930s

This French figurative sketch from the 1930s depicts a seated male nude in fine red lines, with a lowered gaze and one leg extended. Delicate hatching defines the figure, while a small secondary study in the upper-left corner offers a glimpse of the artist’s working process. Newly framed with a charcoal-gray fabric surround and a warm brown figured frame, the composition has a quiet, intimate presence.
