Expressionist Dancing Figures Oil Painting, 1960's

This expressionist oil painting depicts two elongated figures in a dance-like pose against a deep blue backdrop framed by sweeping curtains. Loose strokes of peach, cream, and rust bring movement to the figures, while the dark ground gives the small composition a theatrical presence. A wide navy fabric surround and warm amber-brown figured frame complement the painting’s rich palette.
