Equestrian Horse Pencil Sketch with Red Linen Mat, France, 1930s

This expressive pencil sketch captures a horse in motion with fluid contours and carefully shaded musculature. The lightly worked paper keeps the composition airy while emphasizing the animal’s poised movement. A deep red woven mat and black frame give the study a rich, tailored finish.
