A beautifully dark and densely worked tramp art box sitting on four small brass claw feet, its entire surface covered in tightly stacked chip-carved pyramid layers in deep espresso and dark mahogany tones. The front panel features a brass keyhole escutcheon and flanking geometric cutout motifs in lighter wood tones, creating a subtle decorative accent against the deep ground. The hinged lid lifts to reveal a plain interior. An exceptionally refined and serious example of the tramp art tradition with a commanding, almost gothic presence.
