My paintings investigate the relationship between memory and perception. Using recurring figures, repeated motifs, and fragmented compositions, I construct images that exist between personal recollection and collective memory.
Rather than depicting specific events, I am interested in the emotional residue that remains after experience has faded. Familiar forms reappear across the paintings, shifting in meaning as memory continuously edits, omits, and reconstructs the past. Working in oil on canvas, I build quiet, layered surfaces that blur the boundary between observation and remembrance. The paintings invite viewers to inhabit spaces where recognition is felt before it is understood.
