Spring is right around the corner and if you’re like me, you are already planning some fun warm weather inspired updates to your home. After months of mid Winter gloom, I love to spruce up my home for the warmer months! Giving your home a fresh new look for the new season doesn’t have to break the bank either. I wanted to share a few ways on how to easily update your home for Spring, check out my tips below:

1. Use lighter fabrics

Time to put away the chunky throws and faux fur accents! I love to replace my heavier fabrics with lighter ones such as cotton or linen. In my bedroom, I change up my sheets and use more neutrals to make the room feel more crisp and airy. Don’t be afraid to use different shades of neutrals!

2. Fresh greens + florals

Nothing says Spring like fresh flowers and greenery. It’s a simple way to add some color to your home and bring out any fun vases you’ve accumulated. It’s also the perfect time to replace any plants that might not have made it through the winter...it happens to all of us haha. Plants and flowers are 2 inexpensive ways to make your home feel Springtime ready!

3. Update your throw pillows

Update your couch, bed and chairs with new throw pillows for a refresh! I’ve started keeping a stash of pillows that I switch out for each season but I love to always buy a new one from Target. I tend to add pops of color and fun prints during the Spring/Summer months. You can also check out a few easy ways to DIY your own throw pillows below:

4. Sprinkle in bright colors

Brighter colors are always a must for Spring! Darker colors always remind me of Winter, so I opt for neutrals and muted pops of colors. From throw pillows, blankets and decor- there are a ton of ways to restyle and make your home feel bright and airy!

5. Add a new doormat

Buying a new doormat each season is one of my favorite things to do! It gets me excited for the new season ahead and I feel like it’s the perfect little detail people forget about. I know it’s a simple change but it’s one of my favorite things to switch out season after season. I always see so many cute ones at Target and on ETSY. I also DIY’d a fun, easy doormat that is perfect for Spring, check it out below:
