5 Decor Trends You Can Say Bye To
Much like fashion trends, home decor trends come and go! With a new year, comes a fresh start and if you’re planning on redecorating it’s helpful to know when trends are in and which are going out of style.

All white everything:
It’s been a longgg run but the all white design trend is over. Now is the time to skip the minimalist, neutral color palettes, and jump into dark hues and rich colors. Unexpected pops of color in decor accents and warm colors add a very timeless feel!
Farmhouse decor:
Rustic elements like barn doors and wrought iron accents are now being transformed into a more modern aesthetic. Skip whitewashed elements and opt for darker woods instead. While rustic charm had it’s fun, it’s time to ditch the oversized wall clocks!
Industrial lighting:
Industrial lighting/“exposed” lighting used to be everywhere! It’s time for the Edison bulb, hanging wires and black metal frames to take a back seat. It’s time to embrace vintage inspired lighting such as unique pendants and classic sconces!
Mid-century modern:
While the popular 1950s and 1960s interior design style has been everywhere these past few years, the trend is slowly fading away. Instead, art deco inspired decor is taking center stage- think maximalist than minimalist.
Shiplap:
Shiplap is a fast fading trend, it was once a trendy way to decorate your walls but it’s time to put this trend to rest. There are so many other amazing ways to decorate your walls, think tile, plaster inspired paint or even rattan!
